Kids: Introduction to Library Services

The CNIB Library has lots of cool books, resources and programs for kids to make reading more fun and accessible than ever! We have contests and clubs and books in every size, shape and format.

Online Services

All our clients can access the CNIB Digital Library and young readers between the ages of 6-14 can also use the Children's Discovery Portal with online accessible games, moderated chat rooms and lots of age-appropriate information and resources.

Getting Started

Kids who are registered with CNIB can request Library service by calling Reader Services at 1-800-268-8818 or by emailing reader.services@cnib.ca. Be sure to ask for a username and password for the Children's Discovery Portal and the CNIB Digital Library.

Resources for Students

The CNIB Library has a wealth of resources for students with vision loss, from independent research tools to access to daily editions of over 50 newspapers. Find out more here.
