Canada Post offers post-free literature for the blind. The CNIB Library sends you DAISY books on CD postage-free in a special mailer. The mailer is made of heavy yellow paper with a clear plastic window on the front, and CNIB'S address on the back. The flap on the back is secured by a resealable strip that is easy to lift open and requires only a firm press of the finger to reseal.

Your name and postal address will be printed directly on each CD, and will show through the plastic envelope window for Canada Post.

To send books back to the CNIB Library, simply flip the CD over, so that the silver side (without your address) shows through the window. Canada Post will return the CD to CNIB using the return address on the back of the mailer.

Each book can be checked out for three months. After that the system will record it as overdue and you may receive an 'overdue message' phone call! If you have a number of overdue items, your service will stop until you have returned them.
