Introducing CNIB Guide Dogs!

Canadians with sight loss tell us that having a guide dog is a transformational experience. The guide dog partnership provides them not only with mobility and safety, but also confidence, independence and a sense of  connection with the world around them.

At CNIB, we believe that everyone who would like to have a guide dog should have the opportunity to do so. That's why we're proud to launch CNIB Guide Dogs, a new program to raise and train guide dogs exclusively for people with sight loss, with the range of choices, services and opportunities they need and want.

Now Recruiting:
Volunteer Boarders

We are looking for volunteers who can board CNIB Guide Dogs in training in Carleton Place and surrounding areas.

Requirement is for 5 to 7 months approximately, evenings and weekends only. These young adult dogs are already house-broken, obedience trained, and in the process of training to become a Guide Dog.

Candidates with a safe and loving home will be considered. CNIB Guide Dogs covers the cost for food and vet care. If interested, please contact us at 1-800-563-2642 or info@cnib.ca for more information.
