Conducting Research with CNIB Staff or Clients

Proposals for vision health research projects that include CNIB staff or clients should be submitted to CNIB Research for review, using a Research Intent Form. CNIB Research reviews all submissions in a timely manner, with respect to individual project deadlines.

Who should complete the Research Intent Form?

  • A researcher or student based at a university or other external agency who wants to conduct a study with people living with vision loss.

  • A researcher requesting a letter of support for a project.

  • A researcher requesting CNIB space or other facilities to conduct a study with CNIB clients, staff or volunteers.

  • An organization requesting a partnership with CNIB on a research project.

The information you provide helps CNIB Research to:

  • Identify opportunities where national coordination might help improve the quality and impact of worthy proposals.

  • Permit data collection about the types of research being conducted involving people with vision loss in Canada.
