CNIB Ontario East Leadership

Duane Morgan, CNIB Ontario East Executive Director

Duane Photo (002).jpgDuane Morgan was recruited to the role of Executive Director, Ontario East Region in November 2016. Prior to relocating to the Ontario East Region, for the previous 6 years, Duane had been serving as Manager, Programs and Services, Newfoundland and Labrador for CNIB.  Duane joined the CNIB team in 2008 as Specialist, Career and Employment/Assistive Technology. Throughout his time in the Atlantic Canada Region, Duane acquired 8 years of experience in developing and overseeing the delivery of programs and services to people that are blind or partially sighted, as well as public education and advocacy.

One highlight is that Duane has been passionate about improving the experiences blind and partially sighted people have in pursuing post-secondary education, implementing post-secondary orientation and peer support programs.  As well as being an active member of advisory committees for University and Colleges during his entire CNIB career.

As a client of CNIB services himself, Duane is also able to provide personal testimony to the benefits of CNIB programs and services for blind and partially sighted Canadians.
