At CNIB we focus on abilities and independence; we understand that there can be a good quality of life for any of us experiencing vision loss, and we are committed to educating Canadians about the preventive steps we can all take to maintain our vision health.
CNIB is unique within the Canadian health sector in that it is the only provider of rehabilitative services in the health care system for vision related issues and we are the leader in promoting vision health.
Did you know – having regular eye exams can literally save your sight or that with the right support individuals living with vision loss can function as well as a fully sighted person?
CNIB strives to educate Canadians about vision health and preventing eye disease. We understand that knowledge is power in the fight against vision loss, as awareness of the early signs and symptoms could literally save a person’s sight.
CNIB’s Vision Health Moment is a one minute radio feature focused on key messages to encourage Canadians to take care of their eyes and for anyone experiencing vision loss - information on how to make the best use of remaining vision.
This radio program is currently running on 96.5 KOOL FM in Nova Scotia and is proudly supported by the Nova Scotia Association of Optometrists (NSAO).
