Sidewalks for All!

The City of Toronto Licensing and Standards & Public Works and Infrastructure Committees are meeting on December 4, 2017 to vote on proposed changes to the City of Toronto's Patio and Marketing Bylaws. The changes will provide a universal bylaw and guidelines for the layout of café patios and marketing displays across the City. The committees' decision at this meeting will play a major role in determining how accessible sidewalks will be for pedestrians in the City of Toronto.

Sidewalks for All – which is an independent coalition of accessibility advocates and organizations and includes CNIB – is asking the City to address concerns around the safety of our sidewalks for people with disabilities. For further information on what the coalition is calling for, please look at the Sidewalks for All website.

We hope you will get involved in the campaign and share your sidewalk accessibility experiences with Sidewalks for All and Toronto City Council.

Ways you can get involved:
