CNIB launches Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada

3/7/2017

New brand for best-in-class rehabilitation services nationwide

CNIB is proud to announce a new brand for our rehabilitation services, in recognition of the successful integration of vision loss rehabilitation therapy into the continuum of health care.

This new brand, Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada, is strongly positioned as a leader in providing professional, high-quality sustainable rehabilitation to Canadians with vision loss now and into the future. Reflecting the provincial nature of our health care system, a version of the brand will exist for each province: Vision Loss Rehabilitation, followed by the name of each province.

"For nearly a century, CNIB has been Canada’s main provider of specialized rehabilitation for people with vision loss," said John Rafferty, President and CEO, CNIB. " We hope our new brand will enable these vital health care services to be better understood and accessed by people from coast to coast."

While this new brand is an important change, what won't change are our services themselves, and how we provide them. From our exceptional service quality standards, to the qualified, talented people delivering our services, and the way in which we'll be working with our clients and stakeholders from coast to coast, Canadians can count on Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada to be there for them, just as CNIB always has been.

What also isn't changing is CNIB's continuing work beyond rehabilitation, as we empower Canadians who are blind or partially sighted to lead rich, full lives with sight loss, and work to create a more inclusive and accessible world. Under the CNIB brand, we will continue to work in partnership with donors, volunteers and the community to offer a wide range of programs from peer support, to recreation, to advocacy, and more.

We're also looking forward to celebrating CNIB's 100th anniversary in 2018 – an amazing opportunity to look back on a century of achievement on behalf of blind and partially sighted Canadians – and forward to a bright new future.
