The Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians (AEBC) in conjunction with Centre for Independent Living (CILT) and Citizens with Disabilities of Ontario (CWDO) are pleased to announce an up and coming town hall meeting this November.
The meeting will be held on November 3rd, 2012. Starting times vary depending on time-zone, including: 10 a.m. PST, 11 a.m. MST, 12 p.m. CST, 1 p.m. EST, 2 p.m. AST and 2:30 p.m. in Newfoundland. It will focus on issues of self advocacy. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss issues they are currently advocating for as well as any future considerations.
Our esteemed panelists for this meeting include: Robin East, a long-time advocate for the AEBC and technology specialist for Revenue Canada; Kim Kilpatrick, an advocate with years of experience to share; and John Rae, a long-time advocate for the AEBC.
Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions to any of these panelists. The objective of the meeting is to identify advocacy issues relevant to the community. Our esteemed panelists will provide tips and resources for self advocacy.
