Party Response to CNIB Letters

CNIB in Saskatchewan sent letters on March 7, 2016 to each of the Provincial Party Leaders to ask them “If elected, to make a full commitment to providing sustainable funding for the integration of Post Vision Loss Rehabilitation Therapy, and to not allow this vital service to continue to depend on a charity’s fluctuating ability to raise funds.” 

In the letter it noted that each Party’s response would be posted on our website and a response was requested by March 21, 2016. 

The following responses have been received to date (March 21, 2016):

Green Party of Saskatchewan – No Response

Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan – No Response

Saskatchewan Liberal Party – No Response

Saskatchewan New Democrats – Platform released March 17, 2016

Saskatchewan Party – Media Release issued March 17, 2016

        Wall said a re-elected Saskatchewan Party government will:

  • Provide $500,000 in annual funding to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind to integrate vision loss rehabilitation services into the mainstream health system;
