CGA FAQS

What is a charitable gift annuity?

Senior man using laptop at homeA charitable gift annuity (CGA) is a unique way to make a gift to charity and receive secure payments for life.

A CGA is purchased by paying a lump sum to CNIB, a portion of which is your donation to CNIB. You will immediately start receiving guaranteed monthly, semi-annual or annual payments – and those payments will continue for life.

How much money will I receive in each payment?

The amount of money you’ll receive depends on several factors, including the amount you’ve given as your lump sum, your age, payment schedule and whether you’re male or female. But we’ll give you that information within the free quote that we provide you after you contact us. If you’re not happy with it, you’re under no obligation to continue with the CGA.
