Fundraise in Memory of a Loved One

Hands reading brailleHonour someone you love by raising funds in their memory

Fundraising in honour of someone you’ve lost can be a rewarding way to pay tribute to your loved one, make a difference in the lives of Canadians with vision loss, and bring comfort in times of grief.

Create a tribute fund

Set up an online CNIB Tribute Fund and create a special place where friends and family can come together to share memories and celebrate your loved one’s life – while raising funds for CNIB’s vital programs and services.

With an online fund, you can upload a picture and write journal entries about the person you’re remembering. Friends and family can leave messages, share memories and donate to CNIB in memory of the special person you’re honouring.

Organize an event in memory of your loved one

Many people find comfort in remembering their loved one’s life by organizing a fundraising event like a run or walk in their honour – often turning them into annual events to mark special dates like a birthday or anniversary.

Others choose to use a memorial service or viewing as an opportunity to raise funds for an organization that was close to their loved one’s heart. We can provide you with CNIB collection envelopes if this is something you’re interested in doing at your loved one’s service.
