Holding the Checkered Flag

We all became winners during the Edmonton Grand Prix! Gus Fayad raised over $1,000 in donations for CNIB through the distribution of checkered flags at his local Edmonton gas station. Gus realizes the importance of having CNIB programs and services made available not only to his young son who has vision loss, but to communities throughout Alberta and NWT.

For over 15 years, Frank Flaman has helped countless charities, both locally and around the globe. CNIB is no exception, as the proud recipient of Mr. Flaman’s generous gift of talking penquin clocks, which he delivered personally to CNIB's Edmonton Service Centre.

One of Mr. Flaman’s employees summed him up this way. "Frank is a humanitarian. Everything he works for and everything he does, it always has to go to help someone else. I don't know anyone else like him on the planet."
