Call for Board of Director and Standing Committe Members
In 2010/2011 CNIB anticipates the need to fill openings on its National Board of Directors due to the routine expiration of terms of current directors. Applications are invited from interested individuals residing in Canada.
The Board of Directors is comprised of 19 members, including the Chair and Immediate Past Chair. Directors are elected for a three-year term with the potential for a second term.
The Board typically meets four times per year, with additional meetings scheduled when required. Meetings are held in person and via teleconference.
In addition to the Board positions, positions are available on our five standing committees for experts in the fields of:
- Audit
- Finance & Risk Management
- Governance
- Marketing and Communications
- Programs & Services
- Research
In addition to openings at the national level there are provincial advisory boards that concentrate on local CNIB activities. Individuals are invited to forward a resume if serving at this level is of interest.
