Euclid Herie Assistive Technology Scholarship - $3,000

Technology enhances educational opportunities for people with vision loss. This award must be used to purchase assistive technology and/or software to aid a student in his/her studies and/or daily life.

Applicant criteria:

  • Registered client of CNIB Alberta NWT

  • Resident of Alberta or NWT for a minimum of one year prior to date of application

  • Demonstrated academic achievement, judgment and leadership

  • Currently enrolled in grades 10, 11 or 12 in a school in Alberta or NWT

Required Attachments:

  • Application form

  • Two letters of recommendation attesting to community service and leadership qualities

  • List of the organizations for which you have performed community volunteer service and describing your contribution

  • Official transcripts for your last full year of study, as well as for the first full semester of the current year

  • List of honours or awards received

  • Description of how technology will help you achieve your goals (250 words or less)

Please note: Failure to meet all the requirements for this award will automatically disqualify the applicant
