Summary:
·        To assist and support the Community Abilities Program (CAP) Coordinator to ensure program development in the communities of Dunnville, Caledonia, Cayuga and Townsend for people aging with chronic disease specifically dementia, brain injury, and vision loss to continue to maintain a good quality of life and reduce isolation 
·        To advance the Community Abilities Program profile throughout these communities
 
Essential Duties entail (but not limited to):
·           Assist in programming preparations by setting up, taking down, and storing
    equipment, materials, supplies, and promotional materials
·           Research potential future programming possibilities
·           Respond to program/promotion inquiries and requests and directing as
    appropriate
·           Under staff direction, research, develop, and implement workshops,
    demonstrations 
·           Promote the programming through use of flyers, public speaking, video and
    photographs, etc
·           Survey participants after event through verbal or written methods
·           Provide follow-up contact with participants
·           Complete client testimonials in alternative formats: static display boards, audio,
    video, etc
·           Program Satisfaction Surveys: compile data, review trends
·           Complete Hadley course: “Blindness Basics”
·           Other duties as required
 
Qualifications: (Education, Training, Experience)
·        Minimum two years post-secondary education in health-related field or gerontology
·        Experience working with individuals with complex needs
·        Professional, articulate, confident presenter
·        Strong research and analytical skills
·        Ability to work independently
·        Strong organizational skills
·        Ability to maintain confidentiality
·        Ability to maintain flexible schedule
·        First Aid/CPR
·        Must be returning to full time studies in the fall
