CNIB will be closed on November 11th for Remembrance Day

Good morning,

Every year, offices across the country take the time to reflect and honour the courage and sacrifice of the brave men and women who served, and continue to serve, our country.

This year, as most of our offices will be closed, we will not be able to gather together to watch ‘A Pittance of Time,’ by Juno nominated singer–songwriter Terry Kelly.

We ask that, on this 11th day of the 11th month, you visit and listen to this song, composed to bring awareness to the sacrifices that have been made on our behalf.

Every October through to November 11th, receives more than three-quarters of a million hits from those paying tribute to our veterans, our fallen, and the families left at home, with Terry's song. In addition to his website,, the song and video can be enjoyed on YouTube and at

This year, Terry is taking the song to Washington, D.C. to bring an additional level of reverence to the Canadian Embassy’s Remembrance Day ceremonies.

We wish him well and, above all, we must vow never to forget. Together, it is our duty to pass on the legacy and keep the memories of our Canadian Veterans alive.
